May 06, 2026This has been a solid and fun series. I find myself looking forward to each one. Percy’s background on other comics brings a depth and gravitas to this series not often seen in Deadpool comics. He does all that while elevating the humor readers have come to know Wade Wilson for. Perfectly serious and unserious at the same time. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
May 06, 2026Wilson is a natural fit for the mob. The Maggia is also a group that rarely gets the right kind of treatment. Over the decades, writers have tried and failed to bring the mafia into the Marvel universe. It's really difficult to manage the over the top darkness of gritty street level crime in a world of magic, gods and alien entities. Percy and Company do a really good job of fusing the mob energy with the weird and humorously dark demeanor of a guy like Wade Wilson. It's not terribly deep stuff and they overall energy has been explored a million times before. But it's fun to see it given life on the page with a distinctly humorous bent. Read Full Review

May 13, 2026This isn't your "popcorn" Deadpool. This is a character study wrapped in a tragedy, masquerading as a mob thriller. If you want to see Wade Wilson truly broken—not just physically, but as a person—this is a must-read. It sets up a redemption arc (or a total collapse) that I cannot wait to see play out in Issue #5. May 06, 2026Wade Wilson: Deadpool #4 delivers key answers while pushing the story into new territory. Benjamin Percy leans into Wade’s grief and instability, giving the issue emotional weight that stands out from typical Deadpool fare. The Blind Al sequence adds tension and familiarity, while the flashback provides the most impactful moment. It can feel like a bridge issue at times, but the reveals and tone make it worth the read. Plot
Deadpool is in Hammerhead's trunk and tries to stop him. Hammerhead arrives at Blind Al's apartment searching for the origin of these prophecies, but falls into a trap.
Blind Al manages to defeat everyone except Hammerhead and is knocked unconscious as her apartment burns down. Deadpool escapes and goes to her aid, only to discover that Blind Al is the person behind the prophetic notes.
Deadpool finishes narrating a failed mission he undertook with his daughter Ellie, where he smuggled a mysterious briefcase with her. Opening it sends you into a collapsing black hole, killing her. Deadpool could do nothing but blame himself.

We are a few issues in and the story is moving along pretty slowly. it's not terrible but it's still just too over the top that it becomes corny. My other big complaint is this isn't the Deadpool from the comics I love. This is 100% movie Deadpool and I just don't want that.
Im still buying but this story needs to pay off soon. and get back to be a little more comics Wade.sadly look at the reviews or rather lack of them. No ones reading this anymore. Sad.
