Plot
Galactus chooses Gambit as his herald not for his kinetic powers, but because he wants his stealing abilities, because he needs the whereabouts of a planet that is under the control of the Collector, Teneleer Tivan.
Tivan has this planet hidden away, recreating it from another that was destroyed, so Gambit begins to find out the importance of this planet for Galactus. This planet is called Taa, it was where Galactus was born before being this super cosmic entity.
Galactus frees Gambit whose powers evolved after all that cosmic energy that flows through him, who now goes to look for a more altruistic purpose in his life.
