X-Men Regenesis Still reeling from the shocking death of one of their own, how can the X-Factor team possibly take down the one responsible-- the deadly Bloodbath? Then, in issue 229: Layla Miller. Jamie Madrox. Husband and wife. Lying murdered in their honeymoon suite. The moment you thought would never come is here, and not only are you a witness to it, but so is Jamie Madrox himself. We feel safe in saying that this is X-Factor as you've never seen them before in the first part of what has to be the trippiest arc in the history of Marvel.

    Overall, X-Factor #229 is an enjoyable read with excitement on every page. If the rest of the arc holds to such a standard, it could easily be one of the better X-Factor stories of the year. Read Full Review

    David has, over the years, proven exceptionally adept at balancing the drama with levity, solemnity with action, and just making the book a continually enjoyable, and, at times, evocative read. Though it may prove a bit to “inside-baseball” to be the best jumping-on point for new readers, it is a big reminder of what type of book it is and why its loyal readers keep reading it.
