But Why Tho? - William Tucker
May 20, 2026X-Men United Issue 3 gives beautiful depth to a series that could feel too extravagant. The fact that the new school is filled with so many powerful figures and exists as a shared mental space means Ewing routinely finds ways to give the comic grit and real emotion. Read Full Review

The Super Powered Fancast - Deron Generally
May 20, 2026Palma delivers some great art throughout the issue. I really liked the visual style and the details within the pages and panels. There is a definite nod to old school comic art in the backstory moments which I enjoyed. Read Full Review

Comic Book Clique - Gabe Foster
May 26, 2026X-Men United is a toss up for me. While the writing and story is phenomenal there's still that disconnect from other X titles that makes this feel like it's on an island by itself. Seeing beast and Magneto bicker with Magneto passively saying that it would make things better if beast was killed? Something about that feels very disconnected from the current mainline X-Men run I've been reading and reviewing on here. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez
May 22, 2026X-Men United #3 further proves that Eve Ewing has a strong understanding of the X-Men. Specifically, when it comes to having a clear grasp of their team dynamic and the emotional weight that comes with being a mutant. However, the issue loses sight of the unique hook that should distinguish this series from the rest of the X-Men line. Read Full Review

KPB Comics - A.S Tiger
May 21, 2026X-Men United still feels aimless and adrift three issues in. The unifying concept of the series doesn’t appear to have much weight, and there is a disconnect between the stories presented and how the series is framed to readers. While Palma and Reber provide solid work in this issue, overall, X-Men United #3 highlights the major weaknesses this title continues to carry. Read Full Review

To quote Emma Frost: “What a waste”…. of my time. This book is 100% woke reeducation and 0% talent. Both the writing and art are some of the worst I’ve seen in a Marvel comic in my entire life.
We are also still not given an explanation how people can enter a psychic school and, from there, teleport to another place or time, somehow becoming physical, when their actual bodies are back in their homes. This whole psychic school concept is utter nonsense. It’s almost as if the author doesn’t know how reality works. Which, in Ewing’s case, seems very likely.+ Like • Comment -
