    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Apr 23, 2008

Mark Brooks is not an artist I've paid much notice to. This issue changes that somewhat. While I'm not enamored with every element of his style (particularly in regards to facial details), he's certainly the best artist to work on this mini-series so far. Even better, the colors provided by Christina Strain really allow the art to sparkle. Truly, this is a creative team that fires on all cylinders. If I could get a YA book of this quality every month, I'd be a very happy reader indeed. Teen superhero books are hardly a rare commodity, but issues like this show how high the bar can be set. Yet again, the bad guys of this issue are generic goons who only exist to give the characters somebody to punch, and there isn't any strong superhero conflict or crime-fighting drama to go along with the solid character work that Cornell provides here. The impression is that Young Avengers Presents is simply treading water whilst readers wait for the main series to return, and that's a shame, because I think that Marvel are going to risk a loss of interest in the characters if the Read Full Review

The Weekly Crisis - Kirk Warren Apr 23, 2008

I liked Cassie's attempt at defending the pro-Reg heroes' stance to Vision, but, considering she's in the Initiative and what's gone on in that title, I find it hard to believe she can still side with them after all the MVP madness and other shady things going on at Camp Hammond. It was just nice to see the whole team divided on registration addressed here. All-in-all, it was a decent one-shot that most YA fans will enjoy. Read Full Review
