Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez Sep 23, 2021

IMPOSSIBLE JONES #1 is a fresh and entertaining origin story about a hero whose moral compass doesnt always point North. Both the writing, especially the humor, and the art are surprisingly well-balanced. Theres just enough humor to make the reading fun without getting corny or campy. And the art hits the silver-age sweet spot without looking dated or silly. As a first appearance issue, this book is a lot of fun. Read Full Review

    Geek'd Out - Cameron Kieffer Sep 22, 2021

Despite the occasionally complicated narrative choices and a couple very bizarre character moments, this is a solid introduction to an exciting new world with familiar archetypes and clever mash-ups. Thanks to the witty dialogue and beautiful art, this latest offering from Scout Comics was pretty much impossible to put down and has enough subtext to warrant multiple readings (Ive already read it twice). It may not be perfect, but if the last scene is any indication, Impossible Jonesmay be a worthy addition to your pull-list. Read Full Review

Another day, another comic proving that DC and Marvel have lost their monopoly on great superhero stories. This book has all the elements I love most in a comic: action, an interesting story, nuanced characters and a delightful level of humor. I hope to see this series go for several years!
