Love & Capes has charmed me for three issues now and I'm definitely enjoying the series. It has such a pleasant and fun tone about it where it's not trying to be a gag a week kind of strip but more a lighthearted look at the lives of superheroes and their loves, both normal and super. It has a great sense of self that was established quickly and is working at a good pace to expand it and flesh it out without rushing. The troubles they face are admittedly of the adorable type, but going too serious could break some of the magic, even if I expect it'll get there eventually. I hope to see more of an expansion and humanization of the cast as it goes along though because the start of what they did here with Charlotte and Darkblade certainly helps a lot and makes for a fuller read. If you have never read Love and Capes or seen the webcomic than I recommend that you give it a try. The humorous take on the private lives of super-heroes is both engaging and heartfelt and is worth checking out for a break from the realistic violence of the big two superhero titles. Very enjoyable. Read Full Review
