Princeless is a story that borrows elements of the tried and true fairy-tale and adds a much needed modern spin. Where fairy-tales of the past relied on an out dated formula of sitting and waiting, the team of Jeremy Whitley and M. Goodwin instead embark on a tale that asks, ‘why wait for someone else to come rescue you when you can save yourself?' Issue one of Princeless is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of answering that question, but if future issues are of this quality tn Adrienne and readers can expect the unexpected. This is a fun story with a great embedded message. The message is shared with a light, witty touch " the best possible way to get people to actually hear it. As a teacher and a parent, I'm thrilled to see stories like this hit the stands. It gives a chance for both boys and girls to question the traditional notions taught in classic fairy tales, and that's always a good thing. As an adult reader, I also completely loved it. Overall, Princeless is unique. There isn't a series about a dark skinned princess who rides her pet dragon into the sky in search of adventure. It will be fun to see where Whitley and Franco take the spunky Princess Adrienne in future issues. Read Full Review
