It looks as though Archer, Armstrong, and Gilad have found their Geomancer, but will the Geomancer join them? Can they protect them? Great final page here as this story continues. I really enjoy everything about this book. This issue gives us the look into someone else's life, in this world, which I thought was pretty cool. We also get a look into the sinister world of Zorn Capital. The writing and art, as always, are top notch, and this is one of my top of the pile nominees for January.Overall, you need to start reading this book. Read Full Review
Emanuela Lupacchino does some killer pencil work in this issue, drawing everything from pirates to epic gun fights to a tea party with a monkey. Guillermo Ortego's inks and Matt Milla's colors add to the solid art package. Archer & Armstrong is a great looking comic book all around. The characters look fantastic, the action moves wonderfully, and the humor always hits home. Valiant knows what they are doing, folks. This is just good comic booking. Read Full Review

If you’ve been reading Archer & Armstrong, then you know how good this series is. It’s not changing anytime soon and I’m pretty sure the creative teams are being paid enough to want to stick around and see their stories play out. If you haven’t checked this series out yet then there is good news; this issue may not be the beginning of the story arc, but it does a great job of recapping the events leading up to it. I can honestly recommend this issue in particular to new readers as you will journey with Kay as she receives her first exposure to everything happening in the story as well. Archer and Armstrong is one of 2012's great surprises, and is continuing strongly into 2013. Well worth reading from the beginning, it's a series that effectively balances comedy and adventure that feels like it has real stakes. Archer & Armstrong hits its first speed bump with this issue, but it's a minor hiccup and nothing more. Next issue promises to get back to business and back to what makes this series so much fun.
