Armor Hunters: Harbinger #2 improves on everything about the first issue and has the team facing a unique threat in all the armor hunters related issues. The character dynamics allowed for each one to be utilized fully, and in an impressive way, considering the nature of the threat. And the shocking discovery in the midst of all of this can have huge ramifications going forward so even if your interest in this series is because of the team and not the armor hunters event then you'll love this development and what it could mean. It feels good that this issue capitalized on the potential in the series, and I'm as excited for the answers next issue as I am to see what's in store for the team after the event ends. Armor Hunters: Harbinger #2 answers the question of what can possibly go wrong when kinds enter a war they can't comprehend anymore than the adults. Even “professionals” make mistakes. Things aren't looking good in Mexico and what beast has been unleashed, aside from the hunters just may prove to be more than the bargained for. At the end of the day, Armor Hunters: Harbinger is a title you can pick up without being too invested in the Armor Hunters event. It's fairly self-contained and you care a bit more for what's in store for these heroes. Read Full Review
After being freed from PRS in recent issues of Harbinger, we haven't seen too much of Generation Zero, until now. Their leader, Cronus, is torn between his team living a normal life and them being heroes. They are all teenagers, and were robbed of a normal childhood by PRS, but it seems that they just can't live a normal life. This is the central conflict in this mini series, and it actually ends up being fairly nuanced. Really, this issue is far more about Cronus and Generation Zero than it is about the remaining members of the Renegades. It's proof that Valiant is still trying to build out this universe by adding different teams with different goals to it, and that seems to be the purpose of this mini series, with Armor Hunters acting as a catalyst for real development for Generation Zero. For a tie-in series it's pretty good. I don't think it holds a torch to the regular Harbinger series, but Dysart manages to tie this story in the plot threads that he already had going and that's very cool as a read to see. When it comes down to it this issue is for Harbinger fans or fans of Armor Hunters. Either way you're in for an entertaining read. Read Full Review
