After all the events an d actions that have taken place over the past several issues Harbinger #21 is a nice change of pace. Dysart gives readers a look at the team and their complex relationships which has been missing since the final battle in Las Vegas. The dynamics of the team are on full display here and Dysart doesn't hold back on what makes these characters tick under the most stressful situations. Harbinger is a great book and balances action and character development equally and makes it's easy to invest in their fight to be free. Harbinger is one of the most entertaining books from Valiant that everyone should be reading. Read Full Review
This story arc has been very impressive, but the fact that this issue takes a moment and touches base with our characters and peels back more layers of their psyche is one of the many reasons this is Valiant's best series. This is the blue print to a great character based team book, which makes it required reading in my opinion. Read Full Review
This issue brought things down to Earth in a way that makes you find the real importance in this story. A lot more characterization put into place between these characters that shows where their head is at as they prepare to make their move. This is the best time to get into Harbinger knowing that the lid is about to be blown clean off the existence of psiots. Read Full Review
Clayton Henry is always good. He does some awesome work this issue, giving us some truly expressive characters. There's very little in the way of action this month, which is okay when you get such great character moments. You can feel the emotion on the page when Henry draws it, the looks of anger, disgust and love. It's all hits home. Even when the script falters and characters act strangely, Henry keeps the book running smoothly. His art carries this thing from start to finish. Read Full Review
Throw in Monica Jim and her clear disdain for the team, and we've got a hell of an issue that is setting up the pieces as we build to " apparently " the death of one of the Renegades. With Henry on art, this book is arcing back up, and hopefully Dysart and Henry stay teamed up for the foreseeable future. Read Full Review
Valiant continues to impress on all fronts. Harbinger isn't my favourite of their books, but it is one I'd like to take a closer look at. The characters here are awesome and I'd like to see where the plot goes. In the hands of Dysart I trust it'll be an interesting ride. Read Full Review
