I was actually impressed by this issue. I expected it to just hang out and take it easy until the next issue, but instead it added several important chapters to the Harbinger storyline. It also made me want to go back and check out the other two twenty-fifth anniversary issues from Valiant as well. Don't skip this issue like I almost did, you'd definitely regret it if you do. Harbinger #25 not only sets the new standard for anniversary issues, it exemplifies what the end of a volume should be. Joshua Dysart took five teens, made me fall in love with them, broke my heart, and reset the pieces for the journey to come. Thinking back to where this series began, I can hardly believe where it ended up. I cannot wait to see what comes next! Read Full Review
Harbinger 25 is a great book, it serves as a great jumping on point whilst giving current readers a satisfying highly emotion ride from start to finish. Much like Valiant's other titles, if you are not reading this already you really should. Read Full Review
This is a huge anniversary issue. I like the way the issue starts with an origin of the characters of Harbinger. In this way, anyone can pick up this issue and start reading the series. Read Full Review
Joshua Dysart and Khari Evans truly delivered a devastating climax to the second year of Harbinger that any fan could have wanted. This is the most down to Earth series in Valiant and it's hard to argue why when these care characters you connect with and go through things that many of us do or have. Matt Kindt gives us a reason to care about these characters, the plot, and surely set the foundation for many things to happen involving the Harbingers in the future. Read Full Review
Normal Harbinger issues are $3.99, and this only will add a dollar, bumping the pricing up to $4.99. There's a good 16 pages added, plus there are no teasers for other series, barring one page in the middle. It's pretty much a solid 48 pages of comic, which equates to almost 10 cents a page, which is not bad for what you get in this issue. Read Full Review
If you have stuck with Valiant through the good and the bad they are paying you back ten-fold. Harbinger #25 a special issue not only for the creators and Valiant but for you the reader, did not fail us. Stunning art along with an absolutely delicious story, if you had been starving, struggling to survive, Dysarts and everyone involved served up the most desirable, delicious and succulent meal you have ever tasted. Harbinger #25 does not disappoint. If you are not a fan of Toyo Harada, you will definitely dig the story about Joe or the fan fiction story written by Justin Jordan. There is something for everybody in this issue, so everybody should be able to walk away happy. The creative talent on this issue is essentially everyone on Valiants payroll, so you know its got to be good. If youre a Valiant fan, this is a must read. If youre not a Valiant fan, but a fan of good stories, this is a must read too. Read Full Review
All in all, "Harbinger" #25 is an entertaining ride that ably sets up what is next, but for me, it felt like there was something missing. For all the effectiveness found in some of the short stories, namely Knisley's, the main story was a solid if unspectacular one that didn't quite reach the expectations tied to an anniversary issue. Italia - Che dire, altro capitolo eccellente di questa fantastica storia. Ora che Toyo Harada ha dimostrato al mondo intero chi è che cosa può fare, mi chiedo come cambieranno le cose nell'universo Valiant.
