The legacy of Shadowman is as compelling as ever, and it'll make you anxious for the next issue. The best bit comes in the beginning, which features a scene that plays out like a finely crafted action movie. It's stuff like this that should give Shadowman a well-deserved spot on your pull list. There is an evil afoot in this book and each of the disparate storylines seem to be pointed towards a confrontation between Shadowman and Master Darque. Based solely on this issue, that battle seems like it may end up being pretty awesome. Read Full Review

One of the virtues of "Shadowman" is its quick and deft development of its mythology and cast, and I hope that the plotting in future issues will rely less on stale plot elements while continuing to maintain the strong pacing. Not to mention the art has also remained seriously badass from the first panel of the first issue and this is no exception, guest artist Roberto Delatorre definitely makes his splash in this issue handling the Deadside scenes, adding his own personal deliciously dark touch to the book without breaking up the flow visually or breaking away from the authentic feel the art of previous issues featured.
