As HARBINGER WARS 2 rages...witness the birth of "BARBARIANS"!
Long ago, on the bloodstained battlefields of centuries past, Aric of Dacia cut a swath through the armies of the ancient world as a brash but cunning warrior - and all without the X-O Manowar armor. Now, the untold story of Aric's swashbuckling youth - and how it unknowingly forged his fate as the defender of 21st century Earth - can finally be told as the man who would be X-O Manowar leaves the Visigoth homeland behind to infiltrate the Roman Empire's gleaming capital from within!

The tale of Aric's history, prior to wearing the legendary X-O Armor, continues to grow. This book is preparing him for what must be done in the current crossover, Harbinger Wars, going on right now! This is a brilliant book to read, but the question that I'm starting to ask is, when are we going to see Aric back in his armor? This book will remain in my subscription box though to find out! There is a great deal of potential in this story and it appears that every member of the creative team is prepared to explore it. Read Full Review
The tale of a rescue gone wrong continues and Arci learns about sacrifices. Great installment! Read Full Review
X-O Manowar #16 is a vast improvement on the previous issue. Its still not he kind of story I look for from this series, and it does still resemble a holding pattern while Harbinger Wars II goes on. That said, it was still an engaging comic worthy of a recommendation for those interested in Valiants offerings. Feel free to check it out. Read Full Review
This isn't a good jumping on point. The art by Trevor Hairsine and inks by Brian Thies looks great but the story is just not happening right now. Hopefully, this arc will end soon and something more interesting will take place in the next arc. Read Full Review
This story arc is like a side quest while HW2 continues. However it is still a great arc with a hell of a lot of action. I quite enjoyed this and based on the preview page the next issue looks to be even better.
The artwork in this issue is great. So rich and diverse. I enjoyed the 2 page spread from the poet - looks really good.
Aric is becoming a sideshow. How long was he supposed to be passed out for that the Visgoths have joined up with the Romans?
