Leo's having one of those days. He's been ditchedby his friends, mugged at knifepoint, and electrocuted. He has something to say about all this, but the only cat prepared to listen is his virtual reality marketing pal, Jerry. Ordinarily that wouldn't be a problem, but Jerry's mental health hasn't been too hot since his circuits got fried. But hey, what could go wrong?

Watching Vault Comics grow and come into their own in delivering a consistently high quality has been one of the best stories in the comic industry, for me, over the last year or so. With books like this, being created by writers, artists et al at the top of their game, Vault are creating high expectation levels, of which I am sure they can not only match, but surpass in time. As a reader who is loving this series, I cannot wait to see what the answer to that question is. Paknadel has made an almost technological version of the Genie from Aladdin: I am sure Leo has never had a friend like Jerry, and by the end of it, he might wish he didnt. As I noted in my review of Friendo #1, the debut of this series was loaded with intriguing potential. Friendo #2 makes good on that promise, crafting a near-future horror story that casts extreme capitalism and human indifference as its villains. Friendo continues to be a crazy comment on the excesses of a society where being plugged in to social media all the time has become epidemic. No need to worry. There is a virtual reality guardian who will protect you as long as you have money, and it doesn't matter where you got it, there is no such thing as ill-gotten gains. Read Full Review
