Learning to destroy demons won't be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what's going on, might provide some answers-but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first!

Just like it's animated adaptation, we begin on a snowy mountain top as Tanjiro, unknownst to the boy, is interacting with the vast majority of his family for the final time. We understand the amount of hard work he puts in to helping his family and how respected he has come to be in the village below. Having already gained a good impression of how nice this character is, it's even more heartbreaking seeing how he is quickly left with no time to mourn his family and is so soon forced to try to protect his sister from being slaughtered before his eyes. Through this volume we see him travel through dangerous paths, encounter other demons, begin his training and set forth on his own path to becoming a Demon Slayer. Read Full Review
