  The Graphic Library - Sara Campbell

  Izuku is sweet and a great main character, with a true heart and honest soul.  Each character in the story is multi-faceted: All-Might can only use his power for three hours before he is transformed back into a puny, sickly guy; bully Katsuki has an insecure side to his cocky outward appearance. For most heroes, quirks come at a cost - it’s not just super power that lets them act overpowered forever. This is still a typical school-based story, but it has a great premise, and the world is well thought-out.  I also enjoyed just how much is packed into one volume, and how so much happens on a single page.  The art style is a beautiful blend of cartoony and detailed.  The cover of volume one shows the cartoony elements in the way Izuku is drawn.  The mangaka also made some sophisticated artistic choices with characters: All-Might and his puny self have different shading and shape to their eye cavities to demonstrate relative strength and ill-health.
