Ed Brubaker pens a thrilling and dreary story of the past coming back to haunt Captain America, as it sets up for new chapters to explore. It's intriguing, smart and the pace keeps you thoroughly invested as it picks apart Cap's shaky memories. The art is stunning here and the #7 ends with a haunting look at a destructive mind. It's spectacular.
This is the start of an amazing run from Brubaker, I do miss Captain America being written by a competent writer, not hacks like Coates or Cantwell.
