Lucifer reaches its conclusion in these climactic tales from the Sandman Universe that are presented for the first time anywhere in this collection! At long last, the Devil returns to Hell. Lucifer trespasses into the garden of Destiny of the Endless, but for what nefarious purpose? Nothing less than tearing a page from the Book of Destiny itself. Originally intended for Lucifer #20-24, these stories bring the tale of Lucifer to a dramatic close.

The very beginning started out of bit slow, but call me a simp for loving everything to do with the gems and the eyes. That was so good. As a cat owner, I found myself getting really into the cat issue. Literally the only thing that I dislike in this volume was the use of the cursive script for a few pages. It slowed my illiterate ass down just a hair. After a series of one-shots, everything came together very well. Holy shit, the ending of this run was great. It's a shame DC canceled this series. Clearly, they're in need of more titles of this caliber.

Ah, the end is once more the beginning. I have no idea why the print run on this was cut short, but I am glad that the final issues found printing in this volume. This is the theory of existentialism told sold well in prestige comic book format , that the whole series should get a reprint in prestige comic book format.
I smiled seeing Mazikeen , Duma , and all the old players in this rich mythology that brings characters from the Christendom in an entertaining light. A retelling of the epoch of there being no light without darkness , it's just all comedy and tragedy in seeing each of the characters realize this , and the reactions that follow serving as a reflection of the reader itself ; the grand tradition in the tales of the Sun of god himself is passed down from Gaiman , to Carey, to Bllaack and successfully carried by Watters here at the end of his run , as the beginning. This was and is Lucifer at his finest. I popped this open at 4 in the morning and did not put it down until it was over when the sun came up , nobody but the devil can make an avid comic book reader do that.
