This is an okay issue. We keep getting what feels like more and more setup without any real sort of payoff. I just want something satisfying in and of itself at this point.
In 1946, Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard and eccentric rocket scientist Jack Parsons performed a series of rituals to summon a divine feminine being. Her name was Babalon. She was dressed all in…RED. Eisner winner JOHN J. PEARSON (BLUE IN GREEN) joins THE DEPARTMENT OF TRUTH for an occult blast from the past.
I really want to like this series and I do believe it could’ve been really sweet had it continued past this issue, but i feel like so much of the story is unresolved (the whole lab subplot just… disappears) and I just cannot forgive how sloppy the editing is throughout the whole series. This issue was definitely sweet and gave a satisfying conclusion to the romance arc but so SO much fell shormore
A promise to never talk about the past is worthless when, deep down, you don't want to keep it.

Kinda fumbled at the end a little bit. Really wish this series had some room to tell the story right instead of tell the story quick. It was still an enjoyable series and I’m glad I read it.
* The Slayer and her allies make one last desperate attempt to bring sunlight back to Earth and send the reigning Evil forces back into the shadows . . .

But Buffy is having visions of the past that brings up conflict with Spike, as well as guilt. Can they find a way to make the spells w...
Strong issue but is already proving that it maybe could’ve been a 5-6 issue run to let some of the story breathe. Some weird jumps where I had to figure out if I missed a page or not, but overall pretty solid and fun.
After a coven rally meant to heal the atmosphere ends in tragedy, Thessally seeks out Buffy guided only by instructions from an old friend. Despite their shared past, Buffy refuses to train her. Instead, she delivers Thess to The Watcher's Council, certain they'll be more suitable guardians. But the Council isn't what they seem, putting Buffy and T...
Definitely a fun interesting take which is more than you can say for some of the other BOOM iterations.
