Can a lone Slayer save what's left of humanity?
Buffy Summers is the last Slayer. Now in her 50s, she wages a one woman fight against the forces of darkness, who prey on humanity in the daylight unimpeded thanks to a magical catastrophe that has nearly blotted out the sun. The same disaster robbed Buffy of her friends and ended the Slayer-line, forcing her into an endless guerilla war. That is, until she stumbles across something she hasn't seen in a long time -- hope, in the form of a prophecy and the young girl who carries it.
Buffy: The Last Vampire Slayer #1 envisions a dark future for the titular heroine and contains the same blend of horror and humor that made the TV series a hit. The Buffyverse continues to grow at BOOM! Studios and the shape it's taking should appeal to fans old and new. Read Full Review
Buffy enters the tired and true realm of dystopian future-type stories, as the former slayer finds her way within a still-dangerous world that seemingly no longer has any need or want for her. This is a book that surely will speak to long-time Buffy fans as it treads the line very close to the television series world while also doing its own things to expand the familiar but different world. stuffed premiere to a miniseries that will definitely have more story than pages to do it real justice. Read Full Review
I know that multi-verse is all in vogue at the moment, but truth be told, I could go a month or two without “alternative timelines / universe”. Whatever happened to great stories in the current universes? This book may appeal to Buffy fans; for me though it is been there, done that, which is a poor showing for a show and character that affected pop culture so much in her heyday. Read Full Review

Interesting start. I enjoyed this and will continue to follow this series for now.
Definitely a fun interesting take which is more than you can say for some of the other BOOM iterations.
Don't understand the hate for this one. It's not amazing or anything, it's not classic Buffy (is that even possible in comic book form), but it's pretty good. I had a good time. I prefer it over the ongoing at this point.
