Chew is awesome. Loved watching Tony take down the Collector finally.
The landmark issue #50, and the showdown everyone’s been waiting for.
It has potential but I agree with some of the other reviews where the story is clunky, too much dialogue, etc. This is one that should perhaps let more of the art do the story telling, we don't need so much info and some of the dialogue is not necessary from the characters.
From deepest space comes the cyborg warrior Onyx... but has she come to Earth in its time of dire need to save it or to end it? A star-born knight for a new generation takes flight here!
I'm really digging this story so far. Ed Brisson certainly knows how to capture your attention to believe your part of the story and relate to the characters.
New story arc! Last issue's cliffhanger has lasting repercussions. While Tranent's warden has to deal with politicians from Earth demanding to know the whereabouts of Samara, the surviving prisoners and rebels decide to stop running and decide to try and take him and all of Tranent out!
I'm a long time lover of Mad Max so my review is likely bias but for me, awesome read, I dig the art. Can't get better than this and I'm looking forward to the next issue.
Max. The warrior Max. Haunted by his past and fated to wander the brutal Wasteland in search of his better self. To do so, Max Rockatansky enters Gastown, the only source of guzzoline for thousands of miles. Here he finds the final piece that he needs to rebuild his Interceptor - the powerful Boss 351 engine. But in order to acquire the fabled V8 ...
This was an awesome read with the 7 year old. She loved it, laughed out loud along with me on some of the panels. Great read, great for kids. Definitely going to be picking up more issues as they're released.
ZIM and his filthy evil ways have been gone for what feels like years. But Dib KNOWS the alien menace will rear his head again, and he won't leave the house, or his 900 security monitors, until it happens. And it WILL happen. Oh, it WILL.
The whole time I was reading this all I could think of was the movie "Truman" but with a twist. I closed it with no inclination that I'll likely pick up issue #2, it didn't peak my interest enough.
They feed on your fear!
When one man’s writer’s block gets in the way of his suicide note, he goes for a walk to clear his head and soon uncovers a century-old conspiracy dedicated to creating and mining the worst lows of human desperation.
I was excited about this, I love X-O. By the time I was done reading, I don't want Ales writing for X-O anymore. It was a fast paced chase scene throughout the whole comic. That's about it and that's all this first issue offered to the world.
Four issues. Four stories. One ticking clock! Red-hot writer Ales Kot (Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier) and rising star Adam Gorham (Zero) start the countdown to DEAD DROP as an unlikely cast of superhuman operators fall in deep for an undercover conspiracy action thriller in the darkest corners of the Valiant Universe...
There is a secre...
The all-new conspiracy thriller continues from red hot creators Ales Kot
(Secret Avengers) and Adam Gorham (Zero)!
The biotechnology that is threatening to end us all is out on the streets of New York and Archer is the only one who can stop it - with his bow and arrows, without pants.
The group responsible for stealing the vir...
Meh.. when I start thinking about other things while reading, that's a sign the writer has not captured my attention, keeping me entertained enough to focus on the overall story. I don't think I made it past page 15. It's too bad, the art wasn't half bad.
Bestselling new star writer ALES KOT teams up with white-hot artist MATT TAYLOR and DEADLY CLASS colorist extraordinaire LEE LOUGHRIDGE for an all-new ONGOING SERIES! The crime noir thrills and characters reminiscent of True Detective meet with mythical stakes worthy of Neil Gaiman's Sandman in this original fantasy/horror/crime saga for mature rea...
Nothing ground breaking and very easily predictable.
Sought after by elements from her violent past, fugitive and assassin Rain Oshiro has just 24 hours to escape a barricaded city while trying to evade a military force determined to either capture or kill her.
Going strong.. pick it up if you haven't already.
The brutal rise of Arthur McBride. Arthur and Maia are on the run in a hostile city after their act of violence at Bright Rock Beach. Meanwhile, disgraced reporter Croger Babb is threatened by a conspiracy from the past as he investigates Maia’s story.
Oh.. this one is going to be good. Just give it time, it's a slow start but I see character and story build up.
Breaking Bad meets Blade Runner.
Arthur McBride's planetary regime has fallen. His story is over. That is until reporter Croger Babb discovers the journal of Arthur's cousin, Maia. Inside is the violent, audacious hidden history of the legendary freedom fighter. Erased from the official record, Maia alone knows how dangerous her cousin really...
I'm a Revolutionary War junkie, so these types of stories are right up my alley. It started slow (which I expected from the description) but I'm expecting it to only get better.
In a rush of great public resistance to an oppressive and excessive government, a homegrown militia movement is formed in rural America. This is not 2015, but 1775. With the war for independence playing out across the colonies, young Seth and Mercy Abbott find their new marriage tested at every turn, as the demands of the frontlines and the home fr...
Fun, entertaining and a likely a little truth behind mega churches and their love of money!
A heist story unlike any before! Mega-churches are being robbed for millions of dollars by a crusader hacker group known as Samaritan who is giving the money to causes they deem more worthy. This modern day "Robin Hood" is being pursued by two FBI agents who actually admire their quarry but want to stop the theft before it escalates.
A good start to restart Bloodshot's story. As a fan of Bloodshot old and new, the last series feel flat once they started to introduce HARD CORPS into the mix. I found this issue refreshing, although not full of action packed killing like we're use to, it'll build back to what we all love from Bloodshot.
From New York Times best-selling writer Jeff Lemire (THE VALIANT, Green Arrow) and red-hot rising star Mico Suayan (HARBINGER, Moon Knight), VALIANT NEXT delivers an all-new ongoing series for Valiant's most unrelenting hero!
Bloodshot's nanites made him a nearly unstoppable killing machine. His enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and hea...
I expected more from this issue after reading the description. It's just a little dry. The story lacked that push it desperately needed to keep me wanting to read more. After the crash where the students are just sitting around, just sort of threw me off, there should of been more to it than what was given story wise. Maybe it'll get better but if you want to keep readers, #1 has to have a little more
It was just a trip, before college. Build schools in a Central American village; get to know some of the other freshmen. But after tragedy strikes, a handful of once-privileged US teens must find their way home in a cruel landscape that at best doesn't like them, and at worst, actively wants to kill them.
Issue two was better than issue one. I'm digging this and the art suits the story most definitely.
• SILK VS. BLACK CAT-- not looking good for Ms. Moon!
• Silk's been picking at the edges of Black Cat's operation and Felicia Hardy has had about enough.
• Plus a last page appearance of some very familiar folks!

At first I wasn't sure about the art but then it seemed as if it suited the story. I was quite surprised to find the story more interesting than expected. Of course she was bitten by the same spider Peter Parker was but it's a nice twist to see her come into her own, with her own story now. I'm looking forward to seeing a different approach than with Peter while the possibility of creating new chamore
Cindy Moon exploded out of her bunker and into the Marvel Universe when we first learned that she had been bitten by that same radioactive spider in the first arc of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. She then went on to save Peter Parker's life (more than once!) and traverse the Spider-verse alongside Spider-Woman. Now, as SILK, Cindy is on her own in New York C...
Yeah, I'm out. I was hoping the story would pick up but to me it just lacks substance, it's nothing groundbreaking, new and not quite as interesting as I think it could be.
• Police Lieutenant Frank Castle is not a man to be trifled with.
• His new assignment? GET SPIDER-GWEN. 'Nuff said.
Rated T+
I'm giving it a chance after issue 1 but as the art is awesome, I'm not digging the story. Maybe see how issue 3 goes but it's not getting any better for me. It's just regurgitated stories from Earth 616 Peter Parker so far.
WHO IS THE VULTURE?!
• Gwen finds herself between a rock (this vulture) and a hard place (the entire NYPD)!
• Don't miss this second issue of the Spider-Character who set the world on fire!
Rated T+
Art is great, story is just sort of flat, unoriginal. It's Peter Parker's story in another universe that just happens to be Gwen Stacy instead.
SPIDER-GWEN SPINS INTO HER OWN SERIES!
• BECAUSE YOU DEMANDED IT! The breakout hit of the biggest Spider-Event of the century is taking comic shops by storm this winter with her own new ongoing series - SPIDER-GWEN!
• Gwen Stacy is Spider-Woman, but you knew that already. What you DON'T know is what friends and foes are waiting fo...
I got way more than I expected from this comic. Hooked from the start.
Boomerang and some of Spidey's deadliest baddies prove that with terrible powers come terrible responsibilities! Rising Star Nick Spencer teams with Eisner Award winning sensation Steve Lieber for a walk on the Spider-Verse's evil side!
This issue sadly disappointed me in my expectations. Honestly this 4 issue mini series should have spanned about 10 issues to fill in what seemed like large gaps of unanswered questions about the characters, the suit and the people after him.
This last issue I expected this big finale, I was left with this bitter taste in my mouth. It sort of went from fighting to suddenly the main cha more
The dimension-jumping Blackout suit is a powerful weapon-except when it doesn't work! And if you're Scott Travers and don't know how the suit functions and are facing off against enemies wearing ultrapowerful combat armor, the Blackout suit is just extra weight-dead weight!
