The Dead Lucky is a comicbook for someone with an open mind. It's for someone who is mature and when I say open-minded, I mean someone who is open to queer, veterans, diversity, culture, adventure, and inner battle. This comic is a mental/emotional rollercoaster. The story is like a heroic poem.
This on going comicbook of a queer female Latin-Asian American US Army veteran's journey. Lots of Mech and explosions. Every issue I find something I can relate to. Issue #6, I laughed and cried as I read. Melissa Flores captured what it's like to be Bibi. The emotions, the thoughts, the struggles; someone with PTSD and/or a minority can relate to.
The graphic, the pacing, the story, and the emotions packeted into this comicbook is astounding.
Thank you for bringing a piece of military life, PTSD, multi-cultural, and diversity to light. Thank you for showing love and care to the characters as if they are your love and friends. I can't wait to read more on where this story goes.
