Batman (2016) #50 |
Jul 5, 2018 |
let me get started with this, i have never been compelled to create an account and to impulsively give a feedback to one of the aspiring writers of this generation about one of my favorite character that has been part of our pop culture. case-on-point, this issue Batman #50, is an absolute disappointment. it is redundant to say that it is anticlimactic, having to have readers be subjugated to the hype of a new phase for the life of the caped crusader and just left us there hanging to a very unsatisfying ending. sad to say i wasted my money with this. the poetic writing, amazing guest's arts is not enough to pay tribute to fans who has been waiting for this character to find a new stage in his life, instead we are delivered with an absolute failure. every superhero character is trapped in an endless loop. justified by its publishers. |

Captain America (2018) #1 |

what i like about this relaunch is, the art made by the power duo, Leinil Yu and Gerry Alanguilan. i have been a fan since the Superman Birthright story line. however with it comes with the writing, it is a bit underwhelming for me. it is more of a continuation of bland yet unfazed story instead of an actual fresh start. |

Mister Miracle (2017) #12 |

can't say i am thoroughly pleased nor do i truly understand as to what the end game is for King and Gerards. i would have loved that continuation of the coming of Metron in the story. then again that was totally abandoned, for a follow up that was less exciting than the previous ones. |

the art compliments the words and how the story progresses, without breaking any straight forward answer as to how this world was truly built, leaving me to imagine or assume how the everything was created, i think this is the trend with post apocalyptic stories. this subtlety, puts this book in my pull list. |

Justice League (2018) #3 |

i have not been excited to read a comic book and to actually anticipate it every week is astounding, as i have been reading things from Scott Snyder's run of Justice League. aside from "No Justice Arc" - which is somewhat bland and doesn't prove anything. his fresh start of this title is a must read. it gives you a sudden feeling that you are 10 year old kid again enjoying this incredible group superheroes enjoy banter and witty quip while saving the world from the unknown force while building up a concept for the villains' revenge and temporary victory. it also makes you feel that Lex Luthor know something you don't. this title is such a fun ride. i just hope it stays that way until the end. |

Mister Miracle (2017) #9 |

This unusual comic book makes me feel both entertained and excited with each issue, albeit if its the dark humor, graphic violence, with each characters' platonic relationship with each other, except of course Big Barda and Her Husband. the whole premise about simultaneously raging war and raising a family is a unique way to tell a story that has been considered the "Jesus Christ of Jack Kirby". one wonders how it will all end. me. i just can't wait to see. |

The Magic Order #1 |

Harry Potter meets Game of Thrones kinda vibe, i love the entire premise starting with a murder... how it all goes from there. hopefully Millar can keep my mind glued in picking this issue, as its dark tone is such an impressive concept to use. P.S. more alluring VR thingy pls. makes me enjoy this every time, it adds a little extra...magic and surprise |
