Amazing Mary Jane (2019) #1

Oct 28, 2019

This comic is horrible; I do not know why some Authors & some Publishers decide to give non-superheroes their own comics, especially when their whole existence is based on a superhero. In this comic Mary Jane is an Actress starring in a movie with real life Villains. She took the role because of the high-profile Director who come to find out is actually Mysterio, who is trying to tell his life story. Mary Jane is unhappy with the script; & that's basically the whole comic in a nutshell. Lots of talking, no action; at the end you see a few villains plotting but you're unsure of their actually intentions and I'll never find out due to this comic being boring.

Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter #1

Oct 28, 2019

Jerri Bartman is an alcoholic News Reporter who ends up losing her job after she get drunk before conducting an interview. Since the television station is family owned her brother decides to give her another opportunity hosting late night horror flicks. At first she refuses, but after seeing all her bills piling up she decides take the given opportunity. She gets into costume hits the bottle & then gets on TV and tells the people watching what she think of them & what she thinks of the movie they're about to watch as only she can. The comic ends with a cliffhanger that even I can't explain, but just know I'm waiting on the next issue.

The Mask: I Pledge Allegiance to the Mask #1

Oct 28, 2019

This is not the Jim Carrey movie version of the Mask that I grew up seeing. This comic gives a slight insight on the real story of the Mask; which is more gruesome, being that the Mask turns the person wearing it into a deranged homicidal murderer. The way the way comic starts will have you saying this isn't the mask I remember. The comics main focus is an election thats taking place & let's just say all the people running so far have had an experience with the mask in different ways in the past. The comic ends with the last person you would expect ending up with the mask. Very excited for the next issue.
