A romantic lesbian love story with the taste of fantasy and the culture of coffee and Brazil. Fantasy isn’t my thing, but if you love fantasy (especially ghost stories) you might love this. The depiction of the romantic relationship between the leading character and her girlfriend was great. ファンタジー、そしてコーヒーとブラジルの文化が加えられた、ロマンチックなレズビアン・ラブストーリー。私はファンタジーが好みではないけれど、ファンタジー(特に幽霊もの)が好きな人は好きかも。主人公と彼女の女性の恋人との恋愛関係の描写は良かった。

The reason why it took me this long before reading this issue is because I was very shocked by the death of my favorite character in A.X.E. and didn't want to recognize his absence. But with next issue out next Wednesday, I finally read this. On this issue, we find out that Brand has bigger plans than we (and members of S.W.O.R.D.) have imagined. I really like the spread page in the middle of the issue. It's very impressive. I admire this series because it depicts this scale of plot with very sophisticated way. We are given clues little by little, intrigued, and when the whole plans are revealed, they connect to all the given factors. I also love Arakko and its culture depicted in this series. Arakkis sometimes show aggressive aspects but also have generous aspects that welcome people who aren't born in Arakko into Arakki society as long as they know struggles and fights in tough situations. And their aggressiveness is directed to the serious, unjust threats to their lives and society. Brand's plans are big. That's sure. Brand is very smart and has bigger perspective than anyone. That's also sure. But I think Brand ignores the meaning of "micro" perspectives too much. The meaning of Krakoa to the mutant society, the costs of a war, and lives of "ordinary" people. With Brand's plans fully revealed, I'm sure Cable and his cooperators will do anything to stop Brand. I'm looking forward to seeing what's going to happen next. 　なぜこんなに読むのが遅れたかというと、好きなキャラがA.X.E.で死んだのにショックを受けて彼がいないのを認めたくなかったからです。でも次の号が水曜日に出てしまうのでようやく読んだというわけ。 　この号で、読者やS.W.O.R.D.が想像していたよりも大きかったブランドの計画が明らかになる。真ん中の見開きページが迫力あって大好き。 　このシリーズの好きなところは、これほどのスケールの陰謀がとても綿密に工夫されて描かれているところ。少しずつ手がかりが提示され、引き込まれて、全てが明らかになった時は、これまで書かれていた全ての要素が関係している。 もう一つこのシリーズで好きなところは、アラッコとその文化の描き方。アラッコ人は攻撃的なことがあるけれど、一方で、アラッコで生まれたのではない人も、苦境の中で抗い闘ったことがあればアラッコに受け入れる寛容さも持っていて、そして時折見せる攻撃性はアラッコ人の命や社会に対する深刻で理不尽な脅威に向けられている。 　ブランドの計画が大きいことは確かで、ブランドが賢くて誰よりも広い視野を持っていることも確かだけれど、ブランドは「小さな」視点を無視しすぎると思う。ミュータント社会におけるクラコアの意味とか、戦争の犠牲とか、「普通の」人々の生活とか命とか、そういうこと。 　ブランドの計画が全部明らかになったってことは、ケーブルと仲間はブランドを何とかして止めるはず。次に何が起こるか読むの楽しみ。
