Buy it. Read it. Love it. This series has a lot of potential. Known as the witness from Bishop's timeline, powers manipulated by Sinister, a horseman for Apocalypse. Gambit is a very interesting character, mysterious to boot. Still after all this time, there isn't a solid history for him. I'm exited to see what a good creative team can do with Gambit as their only focus. |

The trade 1-7 is out soon, making it easy enough to get caught up. Do yourself a favor and pick it up. |

Daredevil (2011) #17

Like I said, it's a palate cleanser. The story is cheesy, but it's light hearted and fun. A nice break from what we have been getting. I haven't read Daredevil since mid way through Bendis' run as the writer, but I like the direction Waid is going with this new volume. Waid is really going all out with the series. The first five or so issues of his Daredevil is the best Daredevil I can remember. The arc that just finished up was also very good. This issue, or possibly the next, would be a good jumping on point. It's definitely worth it to pick up the trades and get caught up on the new volume. |

Secret Avengers #29

Its a good story line, even with a few inconstancies. Hawkeye is fun to see in a leadership role, and with the return of the missing Eric O'Grady Ant Man there is some added intrigue to what happened to him while he was missing. The artwork is ok, it's not my style but Scalera is a talented and popular artist so who am I to judge? I'm glad we are finished (I hope) with the Avengers vs X-men. This story arc is pretty good and anyone that was interested in it will be happy it's back on track. |

The “Black Ops” Avengers team is a great idea. I loved it from the get go. My favorite part about the series is the team changes to fit the needs of the mission. This allows for some great ideas for team ups, and we get to see new dimensions of the characters from it. This is worth the read. |

If you have wanted to try out the Defenders this is not the issue to test the waters. The series is still new enough that it should be easy enough to pick up the first issues. If you are reading the series, this issue is a bit of a let down. |

X-Treme X-Men (2012) #2
Sep 17, 2012 |
X-Treme X-Men needs to step it up to stay on my pull list. I think the ideas they are playing with are great, but it's lost in translation. Like I said in the last review, there is some potential here for a great series. As of right now, the only reason Im going to get issue 3, is because of the addition of the Steampunk professor and the funny looking Magneto. |
