Assassinistas #2

Jan 17, 2018

IDW comics never ceases to amaze. Just when I think the company is all about reviving throwback heroes from the 80s, they throw me for a loop and enlists the talent a modern day legend in the process. Assassinistas has all the right ingredients to be another Hernandez work that we will rant and rave about for years to come. Grab Assassinistas today and be ahead of the curve!

Bettie Page #2

Aug 23, 2017

All in all Bettie Page seems to be a nice departure from the over saturated Superhero scene, an ongoing occurrence at Dynamite Comics. This will definitely add to the collection of a comic collector like myself or to the collection of an avid Bettie Page fan. More Importantly its an homage to a forgotten treasure that today's world desperately needs to be reminded of. She was the standard of beauty after all.

Extremity (2017) #7

Oct 6, 2017

You may want to write off Extremity as another post apocalyptic tale, but I strongly urge you to pick this up you'll be in for a nice surprise! David Warren Johnson puts his foot all the way into this one, and it's definitely a good thing.

Grrl Scouts: Magic Socks #6

Oct 19, 2017

Once again image puts creativity and unique ideas to the forefront and pin another tail on the donkey with the Grrl Scouts. Mahfood drops the mic on this one and closes this arc out like a true magician should, leaving the audience wanting more. Let's hope you don't stay gone for too long.

Nov 11, 2017

Once again they're making non-super hero comics the new cool all the while makes me feel like I'm back in the mid 90's all over again when I see the art and writing the damn near attacks the reader""..in a good way of course.

Hungry Ghosts #1

Jan 29, 2018

Anthony Bourdain proves yet again he can do no wrong. A modern day King Midas, it seems like everything he gets his hands on takes off in a major way!

Rocket Girl #10

If #10 is the first you've heard of Rocket Girl I highly recommend you check it out! The team of Montclare and Reeder are a tour de force, and I hope that Rocket Girl doesn't take too long to start that third story arc.

Rumble (2017) #2

Jan 17, 2018

Rumble is the best of both worlds. It's vivid and action oriented enough to catch the eye of the casual fan but has enough substance to cheap even the most jaded of us comic book veterans around for the next issue. And with it only being at issue #2 there isn't much to catch up on. This one definitely has my vote.

Scarlett's Strike Force #1

Dec 28, 2017

Besides the one gripe I have, Scarlett's Strike Force is another brilliant bit of Saturday morning inspired excellence from IDW publishing. If you've been longing for a fresh angle from G.I.JOE, SSF doesn't disappoint with the new leadership dynamics happening on both sides of the fight. This comic is definitely worth a go.
