A widow seeking revenge. A champion hellbent on losing. A world-class assassin second guessing her contract. The Dead Legends tournament contains a long history of pitting the best fighters in the world against one another, but this year, these combatants bend the rules and place the future of the tournament in jeopardy. A martial arts throwback series that hits harder than a kick to the skull!
My only qualm with is the Dead Legends #1 pacing. The issue feels a tad out of order with the major reveal of the widow's motivations left until the end. However, the reveal is emotional and despite the concept of the comic not being particularly unique, it is well done and interesting.Overall, Dead Legends #1 is a solid start to a new series. If you are looking for a new thrilling action-adventure or assassin story akin to martial arts movies of the past then be sure to add this series to your pull list. Read Full Review

I couldnt in good conscience claim that this is a genre I know a lot about, but as I said above, I had a blast reading this and Im really looking forward to the next issue. If youre an 80s martial arts movie fan youre going to love this. If youve ever been a fan of Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, WWE, or cheesy action movies, youre going to love this. Kudos to the team behind this, because youve converted a comic enthusiast of 40 years to a brand new genre! Read Full Review
