But the attempted coup has drawn the attention of more powerful forces...forces of darkness...and forces of light!

Horror DNA - James Ferguson Feb 7, 2018

Dark Ark presents an exciting new spin on a biblical story we all know well. It does so with intrigue, mystery, and a fair-amount of monsters. The very idea of an ark filled with all manner of supernatural beast...and a couple of unicorns... is pretty great. In the hands of writer Cullen Bunn and artist Juan Doe, it's an awesome, tense comic well worth your time. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge Jan 31, 2018

This series is one that's essentially among my most anticipated works to dig into, which is more frustrating as I missed the fourth issue without realizing it and had to correct that before reading this one. Cullen Bunn's story is really coming along here with some great little twists and setting a larger stage ahead that I can't wait to get into. But I also love just flipping through this after reading it and soaking up the little details and layouts that Juan Doe has put together with all the various creature designs. The angels really stand out in a fantastic way here and I can only imagine what a scene in heaven must look like based on that and what Doe is capable of. It's a long wait until this series returns in May but every issue is very much worth it. Read Full Review

That's it for this book until Volume Two hits in May. I have to say that it really has been a treat to accompany Shrae on his journey so far despite his ghastly company on the Ark. The storytelling has been compelling and the art is very unique, with the colors really used in a different and interesting way. Each issue has developed the story, but I think that this issue has been the highlight of the run so far. I'm looking forward to picking up the story again in a few months time. Read Full Review

Bleeding Cool - Joshua Davison Feb 3, 2018

Dark Ark #5 closes out the first volume of the story with a divine warning of the tightrope Shrae walks. He took a sinister lifeline that could be cut should the forces of Heaven ever discover his actions, and he is no saint for taking that line in the beginning. Its an absorbing tale and one that earns a recommendation. Give it a read. Read Full Review
