The visuals of the Omega Rangers, their new pet and the villainous Drakkon are incredible. The breakout scene is action packed to the point that a more traditional battle scene isn't even missed. The larger conflicts between Tommy and Zordon on one side and the Omega Rangers on another is unique and allows for rich character development on all sides. This is a great start to a new arc and seeing the Omega Rangers enter the Final Frontier is massively exciting as endless storytelling possibilities await. Read Full Review

I know people think that a reboot with a brand new #1 is a bit unnecessary, but I don't. Power Rangers #1 gets you up to speed pretty quickly and takes a new direction. At the same time, it's exciting enough that makes me want to track down all the stuff I haven't read from the former series just to see how we got here. The art was great too and I was floored by the Omega Rangers designs. Hasbro needs to get us figures for these quick. Nothing much more to say other than the rest of the issue after the Omegas make their decision is pretty slick. As a fan not truly experiencing the entirety of the Shattered Grid arc, Power Rangers #1 is a great place for new Ranger fans to enter and experience a new story. A new threat has risen known as the Empyreal. A cosmic threat that recently destroyed a world. A threat so frightening, that it has the Omega Rangers coming to Zordon for intel and help. However, when Zordon denies the Omega Rangers’ outrageous request, the Omega’s take a desperate drastic measure to attempt to stop this threat before reaching Earth. OH MY GOD!!! Is what you will say with every page turn of this issue. Ryan Parrott is doing a PHENOMENAL job. Just when I think he can top an idea, he does just that! Not only are we still trying to figure out who the new Green Ranger is but now the Omegas do the unthinkable to save Earth. This issue is absolutely mind bowling and it’s a MUST READ! So many things going on and I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens next! Last, but certainly not least, the artwork in the Ranger books continues to be flawless and Momoko’s foil cover is gorgeous! If fans of the franchise aren’t reading this, shame on them!

So excited to see what's next!

A very impressive beginning to a new series. It's good to see the original Rangers still in action in their own unique setting. Their departure was the start of the show's decline. I remember how disappointing it was to see 3 of the first 5 go, especially since Jason was my favorite and I had a crush on Trini. But I digress.
The Drakkon plot has finally made his return worthwhile. I have a feeling he's going to remain a major thorn in both teams' sides. He's too evil to change, at least for good. Plus the fact he's become the most beloved villain in The world of the Rangers. In the mean time, this uneasy alliance against the Imperyals and the mysterious mastermind behind them should be interesting. It's always interesting to see new foes for the rangers who never were in any of the shows.
This series already shows great promise and it's only the first issue. I'm eager to see how the world of the Omega Rangers will develop and what challenges await them. more
