Ben Kenobi haunts Darth Vader's dreams, even as the name Skywalker occupies his waking thoughts. The Rebel victory over his former flagship has exposed spies and incompetence within the Empire, and Vader has decided an off-the-record mission of vengeance is needed to clear his head-and restore his reputation!

Comic Bastards - Erik McAlister Feb 12, 2014

So there you have it I guess. If that doesn't send you running for your local comic shop, I don't know what will. If you love Star Wars, and you love Darth Vader even more, then you better get going. I may have just found my "best issue of the year" for the Comic Bastards End of the Year Roundup. I know that it's early, but nobody saw Crash winning best picture back in 2006 either. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp Feb 16, 2014

I'm sorry to see what has been the best arc of the series so far come to and end. Although Nanda survives her two days with the most dangerous man in the known universe, and even gets what was promised to her, we see how the emotional scars left from the five days will last a lifetime. Best of the Week. Read Full Review

Unleash The Fanboy - Harrison Rawdin Feb 12, 2014

Star Wars #14 is a reminder of how awesome an antagonist can really be and how he can amplify the other players along the way. Highly recommended. Read Full Review

    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Feb 12, 2014

These two issues work well enough as a standalone storyline, but they also serve to connect various dots and propel the series along as Wood moves toward his next major conflict. And they prove that "filler" stories can be as good as, if not better than the main threads. Read Full Review

A great story, eventually, with mixed art. This series frustrates me so much, I'm not going to be too upset when it goes to Disney. Read Full Review

    Newsarama - Michael Moccio Feb 11, 2014

Beyond everything, Star Wars #14 marks the end of a great interlude story that ties into the larger narrative, expands on current characters, and introduces new characters as well. Wood continues to craft a great story to add to the already rich expanded universe, leaving the readers wanting for more. Read Full Review

Culture Mass - Boyd Reynolds Feb 14, 2014

Star Wars #14 concludes Brian Woods two-part side story chronicling Darth Vaders pursuit of treason inside the Empire. Wood does a good job delving deeper, giving us glimpses of what makes this Dark Lord tick. Read Full Review

Entertainment Fuse - Jim Bush Feb 15, 2014

It can be risky to interrupt a story that is moving well to show the tale from the other side. Much of the first twelve issues of Star Wars has been from the Alliance side and it seems like the series will return there in the next issue. However, despite a few hiccups in this issue, the two-issue detour into Vaders personal Kill Bill-style vengeance trip has been worthwhile for the series. It shows again the determination and ruthlessness that Vader brings, and that the Rebels still face a very tough enemy. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Nick Nafpliotis Feb 12, 2014

Fortunately, the fantastic artwork by Facundo Percio and some more great perspective from the character of Ensign Nanda still make this one a fun read. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Milo Milton Jefferies Feb 14, 2014

Despite these problems,Star Wars #14is still a pretty good read. It's not the best entry in the series yet but the book still serves as a good filler issue, and it'll be interesting to see where Wood takes the reader with the next arc. Read Full Review
