This is the penultimate issue of this story arc. It includes some major battles, alien technology, political negotiations and declarations of honor, loyalty, and revenge. It also includes subtle moments of contemplation and exposition. Sakai is building the story to a apocryphal conclusion. While many things in this world will definitely change in the next issue, there are two things readers can depend upon: first, the honor of the samurai protagonists and second, the subtle yet powerful skills of this writer/artist. Usagi Yojimbo includes a lot of things that I love about comics. The series has continued strong. I would suggest for any comic fan to pick up this series just to see what it is all about. It is always a good time to pick up a series in a story arc too, because for the most part, the reader can quickly catch up to the history of the comic. Read Full Review
As Usagi Yojimbo: Senso #5 comes to a close it teases us with what writer/artist Stan Sakai has in mind for the finale as everything involving the alien destruction has led to the creation of a weapon powerful enough to take on the enemy.
