THE WAR ON WARRIOR WOMEN CONTINUES! As Mary Marvel and the splinter group of Amazons search to find asylum, they uncover the history of something much darker. Will they be able to stop the impending wave of discord before it's too late?
This issue is a little darker than the last two, with not all that much Hoppy (although his caustic relationship with Faruka is always a welcome addition to this book). But so far it seems to be avoiding the pitfall of so many tie-in comics. Not only does it feel relevant to the main story, but it feels like it's revealing key details from the story that we can't find anywhere else. Hopefully this is just the start of what Campbell has planned for the DCU. Read Full Review
Georgiev delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and how the imagery aligns with and enhances the mystery and tension of the story. Read Full Review
Issue 3 keeps the saga going on smoothly, keeping consistent art and mystery alive. With three out of six issues in, it's safe to say that Amazons Attack is going to be one of the most solid titles under the Dawn of DC banner. Read Full Review
Amazons Attack does an incredible job of keeping tension bubbling below the surface, even when there is so much happening right in front of you. Read Full Review
The pacing here is excellent and high tension!
I like the interaction between the characters and I liked the reveal with Eris, but I'm so tired of these activist writers putting their political ideals into comics when it's uncalled for. I may be dropping the title because of it. I'm also not buying this storyline of the Amazons leaving a place literally called "Paradise Island" to go to "Man's World." They are not going for men, the first page has them proclaiming lesbian love and the characters say how much their mistreated there. It doesn't make any sense.
