The delays between issues of this miniseries, likely due to Joe Quinones' hyper-detailed art, are so big that I would just recommend reading the past issues again before the new one. It's worth it because this 80s-set movie sequel continues to be a true gem. Read Full Review

Batman 89: Echoes #3 is filled with twists and turns as the mysteries begin to unravel. We are introduced to new characters who appear in this universe for the first time. Personally, this isn't that bad a story; there is a lot to like about the art, and I'm mildly interested in seeing what happens next. But as of now, nothing in the story has failed to convert this book from 'mild' to 'must read' for me. Read Full Review

    ComicBook.com - Jamie Lovett Jul 10, 2024

Much of Batman '89: Echoes #3 is spent on a flashback explaining how Bruce Wayne found himself in Arkham Asylum impersonating Firefly. However, this story is moving at such a crawl, with such little forward momentum, that it's hard to appreciate it now moving backward. Read Full Review

Batman '89: Echoes #3 has a little oomph at the end, but overall, this series continues its slow, plodding, exposition-heavy trek to nowhere. Read Full Review
