Batman Beyond: Neo-Year #5

Aug 3, 2022

While Batman Beyond: Neo-Year #5 is kind of slow in terms of the lack of action, which may be disappointing for some readers, it grounds the characters more, specifically Terry, making him more understanding of who Batman is supposed to be. There doesnt seem much chance to see other Batman Beyond characters turn up in the final issue next month, but it sure seems like Lumos may have something more up his sleeve. What do you think will happen in the conclusion?

Batman Beyond: Neo-Year #6

Sep 7, 2022

Batman Beyond: Neo-Year #6, and the series as a whole, presented a fresh new take on Batman Beyond, seeing him work without Bruce, become his own hero and meet new allies and adversaries along the way. The only downside is the lack of characters from the show. There wasnt really much explanation as to what happened to them, but it still made a good story and stayed true to the feel of the show and the title character. Readers can expect more of Batman Beyond in the future, is the ending reveals that this series will continue next year. Schway!

Batman: Beyond the White Knight #6

Oct 26, 2022

Batman: Beyond the White Knight #6 is a solid, well-developed issue. Despite not featuring Terry this time around, it presents good character development for Bruce, Dick, and Harley, as well as the intimidating introduction of Blight, with a cliffhanger to leave readers on the edge of their seats until next issue. Hopefully, Terry will return next time. What do you think will happen next?

Batman: One Bad Day (2022): The Penguin #1

Oct 19, 2022

Batman: One Bad DayPenguin #1 is really a story about Oswald Cobblepot finding true friendship, more than it is about Penguin regaining his criminal empire. He doesnt fit in with society because of his looks, and he wants to be around people who will accept him, warts and all. It shows the Penguin in a sympathetic light, and many readers may be to relate to this aspect of his story. Overall, it was a good spotlight on this classic Batman villain and expanded upon the Penguins character in a fresh, new way.

Batman: The Adventures Continue: Season Three #1

Jan 11, 2023

Batman: the Adventures Continue Season Three #1 was a stellar first issue and could possibly be considered to be the best of this series thus far. Amazing artwork, and a story which foreshadows things yet to come in a way that grabs readers and keeps them hooked for more. Fans will no doubt hear the late, great Kevin Conroys voice in their minds as they read, keeping his legacy alive.

Damage Control (2022) #4

Nov 9, 2022

Damage Control #4 is a funny book and those who are fans of Marvel villains and appreciate goofy humor will enjoy this book. Eugene is where most of the humor comes from. The villain interviews are reminiscent of something like The Office in the way they are depicted. This issue employs the use of humor well by showing nerdy characters attempting to be intimidating.

Gargoyles (2022) #2

Jan 25, 2023

Gargoyles #2 is an exciting story that shows us new characters and brings back some more old characters, leaving great potential for more stories to be explored than were on the show. Hopefully we will find out what side Xanatos is on, as well as Brooklyns lover, and the relationship between Tony Dracon and his sister. Gargoyles fans, where do you think the story will go from here, and what could Thailog want with Maggies child?

Jurassic League (2022) #4

Aug 11, 2022

The Jurassic League #4 is exciting in that it is leading towards the thrilling conclusion and it reveals the big bad, but it doesnt really offer too much action like in previous issues. It definitely will leave readers wondering how the Leagues confrontation with the big bad will go, especially since this is more of an Elseworlds tale, so it may be somewhat different from what were used to. What do you think will happen when the League confronts this major villain?

Jurassic League (2022) #5

Sep 14, 2022

The Jurassic League #5 had some great fight scenes and good character development for the major heroes. It sets up the final confrontation between Darkyloseid and the entire Jurassic League for the next issue, and it gives us motive for why the heroes are inspired to fight evil. It does leave you wondering if Jokerzard will end up having a bigger role, or if he only thinks he will. What do you think will happen in the conclusion?

The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries (2022) #1

Oct 12, 2022

Although there are some continuity errors in The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #1, it still gives readers a fun and compelling story featuring a spotlight on more obscure characters like the Batmen of all nations. Bat fans will even notice a reference to the more modern Batman Incorporated at the end. Batman and Scooby-Doo are two iconic characters that have teamed up several times. There never seems to be a shortage of crossover stories that can be written about them. What stories are you hoping to see in this series?
