Batman: the Adventures Continue Season Three #1 was a stellar first issue and could possibly be considered to be the best of this series thus far. Amazing artwork, and a story which foreshadows things yet to come in a way that grabs readers and keeps them hooked for more. This first issue of Batman: The Adventures Continue Season 3 is a marked improvement on the first two seasons. It tells a focused, self-contained story that's both engaging and dramatic. Muscle is elevated from a generic thug to a three dimensional character who struggles with how to handle being betrayed by his employers. The art is moody and is able to make every page feel alive with emotion and movement. Seeing a one-shot like this that uses the drama of minor characters to flesh out the world of Gotham is a real return to form of what made Dini's original comics so great. Read Full Review
The plot of the first issue of Batman: The Adventures Continue Season Three revolves around the attempts to kill Muscle in prison, one of which Batman stops when Killer Croc gets into his cell. If you're a fan of the original series and you miss Kevin Conroy, you will enjoy this issue. If you are looking for a more lighthearted but not silly version of Batman, this is also a fun issue to pick up. I would even say if you're looking to introduce someone to comics and they have seen the show, this might be a great place to start. Read Full Review
