But Why Tho? - William Tucker Jul 3, 2024

Space Ghost #3 rapidly moves away from the origin story. Where the first two issues are crucial for gathering the group and providing an early example of the danger within this universe, the third chapter goes out and explores it. Read Full Review

    SciFiPulse - Ian Cullen Jul 8, 2024

David Pepose continues to capture the spirit and adventure of the old Space Ghost cartoon series while adding some nice modern touches to the characters. I loved the various exchanges of dialogue between Ghost and Widow when she was telling him her plan. But the best dialogue comes when we see Widow trying to tempt Jan into joining her. Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles Jul 2, 2024

Space Ghost #3 is another stellar example of how to make a vintage, nostalgia driven comic succeed. There's no letup with the action and the character portrayals are earnest and enjoyable. If you've remotely been a Space Ghost fan before, this is a comic worth reading ASAP. Read Full Review

    The Comicbook Dispatch - batfan1992 Jul 10, 2024

Space Ghost #3 is an exciting addition to this series that brings back a classic Space Ghost villainess and puts Space Ghost and his team in more modern and gritty situations as loyalties are tested, corruption uncovered and new technology is introduced. This would make a fantastic animated series if they decided to go that route. As more corruption is uncovered, another classic Space Ghost villain has been teased for next issue. How might this next villain be revamped? Read Full Review

Space Ghost #3 is another solid issue for a series that has injected new life into the classic character and property. Here's hoping it goes on for years and continues to not just reintroduce this world and characters but also give us new adventures and aspects we've never seen. Currently, it's blend of old and new has been fantastic and makes this a series you don't want to miss. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Canham Jul 2, 2024

Summing up, Space Ghost #3 proves that David Pepose and Jonathan Lau can produce a consistently entertaining sci-fi action-adventure. I enjoyed the focus this issue placed on the villainous Widow, and I like the use of self-contained issues to give the series a fast pace with a satisfying pay-out at the end of each issue. All in all, Space Ghost #3 is a wildly fun ride. Read Full Review

    Nerd Initiative - ChrisP Jul 3, 2024

This issue is an interesting one because theres a moment that it looked as if Jan might go a different route in order to learn more about what happened to her father, but it only lasted long enough for her to pull a fast one on our villain and the reader. This series continues to be strong and is building a universe out that is complex and entertaining to get to know. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Theron Couch Jul 2, 2024

Pepose, Lau, and Dalhouse deliver another fun one. The action is beautifully rendered. The Widow is an engaging character that hopefully returns. And Jans arc delivers good character development, giving the issue added weight. Space Ghost #3 extends the series high quality with the teams first standalone adventure. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Jul 3, 2024

Honestly...Dalhouse isnt alone in trying to render too much detail in the story. While Dalhouse is clearly embracing the pulpy space superhero genre with his writing, there are far too many elements being thrown together in the script to keep the story interesting. Space Ghost would work a lot better with brutal, jarring action delivered with just a bit more primal simplicity. Space Ghost #3 could have been much more powerful with a bit less dialogue and a bit more clean, open rendering. The character design is there. The setting is there. Theres no reason to engage it any deeper than a slick, shiny, surface-level action story. Read Full Review

Another great issue. It's small wonder everyone I hear from is praising this series. As DC and Marvel are continuing their decline I'm glad to still have a superhero comic I can truly enjoy in Space Ghost. The development of the characters is interesting. Space Ghost is portrayed here as a bit rougher than in the old cartoons but with good reason. It's never easy battling the fores of evil while dealing with a pair of eager kid sidekicks and their intelligent pet monkey. But he keeps his cool much better than today's Batman would. He's more like Batman as he once was in that manner, which may be a reason why I enjoy it so much.
One of the best things is this book sticks to the action and adventure theme like a comic should. There's non more

    Plot
This installment shows how Space Ghost, Jan and Jace accompanied by the mascot Simia Blip work as a team perfectly, ferociously attacking all of Robo Corp's bases of operations.

But in a fight against Widow, a criminal who offers him a plan to attack Robo Corp's mainframe, Space Ghost agrees for Jan and Jace, but everything ends up being a trap by Robo Corp's CEO, Dr. Xander Ibal.

Widow controls all the vegetation with a Chloro Charm bracelet, which is snatched by Jan.

Excellent delivery that shows the dynamics of this team of heroes where it focuses more on science fiction with an exciting and adult narrative.

I was a big fan of the original cartoon and though this takes some liberties, I am an enjoying this updated version. Making this a more mature version of the character really works. Pepose even makes the kids work in this series and that's a feat. This was neat little one off of a heist with a backstab. Everything is completely telegraphed, but other than than criticsm, it's got some nice action and the characters deisplay loyalty tone another, which is a nice element to the story.
