The dialogue is well-written, and Greg Weisman truly proves himself to be a masterful storyteller. The characters voices come through and you can hear the voices of Keith David, Bill Fagerbakke, Tim Curry, Jonathan Frakes and others come through the dialogue as you read it. GARGOYLES #3 ends the first act (not arc) of the run with a battle to save an innocent mother and child from the ruthless hands of Thailog. Weismans script packs in plenty of energy and plot movement, but the battles conclusion is unsatisfying, and the fight choreography is a shambles. Read Full Review

Already three issues in and the first arc of this new Gargoyles comic seemingly reaches its conclusion in unspectacular fashion as characters literally drop what they're doing mid-fight and go home as all if well. Read Full Review
It's pretty good for a comic made in the 2020s but like other issues so far, a bit slow and weak on the action and drama the classic show was so well known for. I really hope things will improve or this may turn out to become yet another short-lived Disney comic.
