This digital-first issue shines a light on our special forces and does so in an incredible way. The first story, in particular, is very impactful especially with the reveal at the end and the short paragraph we got that told us the real story behind it all. We then got a nice story about Kate Kane and her past in the military which told a more traditional DC story and while it wasn't perfect, it was simple and very enjoyable. Again, Batman does a Spoiler and acts like an idiot all the way through. And again, characters go on and on about worthless information and characters we could care less about. Yawn. Read Full Review
This wasn't the strongest start, unfortunately. I can tell what Devin Grayson is going for, but the way she approaches it makes it less effective.
The back-up by Warren Ellis suffered from the art, shockingly. Jim Lee's art does not work in black and white.
