Comic Vine - Sara 'Babs' Lima Dec 14, 2011

I absoluely adored this issue and thought it was one of the best thus far. The romantic scene between Kate and the Detective, while graphic, was tastefully executed. The art is absolutely stunning and the layout of the issue itself was brilliant. In an effort to prove to both herself as well as Kate that she is capable, Flamebird places herself in a tremendous amount of danger at the start of this issue and it will be interesting to see if she makes it back in one piece. Heretical Jargon - Heretic Dec 21, 2011

There's so much to look forward to and the potential is just building up with every issue. It seems everyone Kate Kane knows is working against her alter-ego, which could turn into a very bad situation if Kate's secret identity is discovered. This just might be one of the stickiest situations a superhero has ever been in. She has nothing gain, and everything to loose. Fingers crossed that Flamebird doesn't die off, otherwise she might not have any friends. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Greg McElhatton Dec 14, 2011

"Batwoman" has been a top-notch title since its debut, but with this latest issue everything has come together. Williams and Blackman have shown this to not just be a great comic at DC, but the best one at the company. Has "Batwoman" been worth the wait? Oh yes, definitely. Read Full Review

A Comic Book Blog - Daniel Cole Dec 16, 2011

There is little else to say about this book other than it continues to be a work of art. It's intricate artwork goes hand in hand with it's complex characterisation. Complex in so much as the creative team have really breathed life into the main cast, making them believable heroes who populate the dark streets of Gotham. It drops in plot points that are intriguing and it's cliff-hanger will have readers excited until next months instalment. Even with it's minor problems it's a truly wondrous book Read Full Review

The Weekly Crisis - Grant McLaughlin Dec 18, 2011

I don't know how else I can say it. At the risk of overstating things, this could very well be the best comic book coming out from any company at the moment. If for any reason you haven't given this title a chance yet, you should get to your local comic book shop and pick up all four issues. Williams and Blackman are making beautiful comics together and you want to be a part of this. Read Full Review

    IGN - Poet Mase Dec 14, 2011

As in previous issues, the attention to every detail in this issue shows a mastery of the comic book medium. Little details like Kate being drawn in the same style as Maggie and Agent Chase's indifferent attitude speak volumes, and it's this deeper story that holds the more compelling aspect of the tale. Even though the plot in Batwoman #4 doesn't kick into an exceedingly high gear, strides have been made in this book to set up the inevitable showdown between Batwoman, the Weeping Woman, and Agent Chase. Notice I didnt say Batwoman, even though this is her title. Shes still about two steps behind on the whole drowning ghost thing, though I expect her to spring into action when she learns about Betty next issue. Read Full Review
