This issue gets a 9 — a surprisingly high score for this title — for Fisch's fun one-shot story, Olliffe's detailed and visually interesting pages, and Oback's gorgeous colors. The art in recent issues of this title has made Selina look fabulous: sexy, intelligent, observant. Fisch's cohesive story-telling would be a welcome addition to this title if he writes any future issues. Read Full Review
Catwoman #29 is a lot of fun and great issue. It gives a great depiction of Catwoman, an enjoyable and exciting heist, and with desire to see more stories like this. While we may not be getting any more stories like that for a while, we can at least have a good story to keep coming back. Definitely recommended. Read Full Review
Everything good I said about this book is what I believe Catwoman as a character should be. The way I review books, I judge them against themselves, and unfortunately, the bar is set so low for this title, even what I see as a standard Catwoman story seems like a godsend from the comic heavens. That said, I don't mean to diminish this issue and its accomplishments, because I came away from this very pleased. This was an inventory issue, and as they should be, my expectations weren't very far past "it'll be average at best." But I was surprised by this one, and Sholly Fisch delivered a really tight, quality story that had good characterization and seemed pretty well thought out from start to finish. So, despite it being a one and done inventory issue, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who has missed reading Catwoman for some time due to the title's current circumstances. Read Full Review
This was definitely way better than anything Ann Nocenti has done with the character, but still, I want more. It can and it should be better! Catwoman is a character with great potential. Don't waste her, DC! Read Full Review
Catwoman #29 is one of the better issues in a long time. Take that with a grain of salt, however, because the book has been pretty bad. Sholly Fisch does write a good Catwoman, I just wish the plot was better. With that said, fans of the book will probably be happy after reading it. We are an abused fandom and even a little better is welcome. Read Full Review
