It's nice to know that this particular team will continue on for at least a couple of months. The next storyline is getting even deeper into the history of Selena herself. So some of the complexities of crime families on the other side of the world are going to fade into the background as the series take a closer look at the title character. It's going to be nice to see this particular creative team do that. Catwoman has managed to maintain a sense of mystery about her for a long time. A look into her deep past is going to be interesting moving forward into the autumn. Read Full Review
Catwoman #78 tries to use its extra pages to do what it should have been doing all along – tell its story. However, all the navel gazing, pointless location jumping, and out-of-order storytelling in the past issues have taken its toll. This issue is better than some of the previous issues because we actually focus on the story. But multiple plot threads need to be crammed into this issue to wrap them up. While the art is great, mostly thanks to Patricio Delpache's colors, there's only so much leeway I can give this plot for how it looks when it has mangled its story structure so badly. Catwoman #78 is a welcome reprieve in what has been a deeply inconsistent yet visually striking storyline. We readers have been pleased with an increase in Catwoman being the lead in her own comic, but there is still much left to ponder inthis title. Read Full Review
DC needs to hire a good writer for Catwoman, it's pointless to keep books with female protagonists if the quality is terrible. For almost a year now, Grønbekk has been meandering about Catwoman in an adventure where Selina doesn't exist and Catwoman barely shows up, new characters with the depth of a puddle, whom I'm supposed to care about, but all I want is to never see them again, they're hollow, forced, and without any meaningful connection.
