Tim Sale’s is as beautiful as ever and he draws Rome beautifully. Loeb sets up an extremely interesting first issue
This was okay. On one hand, Sale's art is as good as it's ever been. Possibly thanks to colourist Dave Stewart. On the other hand, Loeb's writing is probably as weak as it's ever been. This definitely does not seem to have the same depth or even the same aesthetic as the other Long Halloween tales have had. That said, it's still a decent read and better than a lot of stuff out there.
