THE HELL!!!! THEY DID IT AGAIN!!!! 4'TH ISSUE IN THE ROW WE SEE THE ORIGIN OF THE HULK. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But at least Betty figured out the connection between Rick and Bruce/Hulk. At least she tried to think about it.
And I still hate Hulk being like here in the first story... So lame, so boring... And his leaps were so bad drawn (sorry, Jack), that he literally was more
Two tales of the Hulk, one science fiction and one fantasy - and both are incredible!
Two tales of the Hulk, one science fiction and one fantasy - and both are incredible!
Huh, Hulk was bathed in more radiation (now cosmic) and got new powers... Now he can be Hulk even in daylight (wow, character development instead of retcon) and also he can jump high. He also even greener now.
However, that "Rick controls Hulk" thing was bad, stupid and awful... And how Rick could replace the ramrod? Okay, how they even made it originally? Yeah, just poor low-detailed w more

The Toad Men are about to invade and America's only hope is the monstrous Hulk.
I never knew the Hulk initially transformed at night.
Is he a man, monster or both? It's the Incredible Hulk, born of a gamma blast that scientist Bruce Banner was caught in.

An underwhelming end, as it usually happens when two-parters in these early 60s comics.
Spidey strikes back! Guest starring the Human Torch and featuring such villains as the Sandman and the Evil Enforcers!
Sandman was a pussy in these days... Captured by two cops with their bare hands... So stupid and lame...

The end of Spider-Man? Sandman is in town, and Spider-Man is cringing in fear?!
The return of the Green Goblin, and guest-starring the Human Torch!
This issue feels more like a Daredevil advertisement mixed with filler. I know the annual had just come out and a lot of work went into that, but this is such an inconsequential issue. Yeah, Spidey teams up with Daredevil for the first time, but nothing much is done with it. The Ringmaster is a really boring villain. The plot is very barebones and there's hardly anything to really parse through hemore

Doctor Octopus gathers Mysterio, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, the Vulture and Sandman to form the Sinister Six, an alliance sworn on taking revenge on their greatest nemesis -- Spider-Man! Will Peter be able to weather the gauntlet of these formidable foes?
Prisoners of the mysterious Mast Mold!
After their latest tussle, the Chameleon is more determined that ever to eliminate Spider-man as a threat! To do so, he enlists the aid of Kraven the Hunter.
I'll get this out of the way. Mysterio is a really cool, exciting villain. But when you explain all his tricks, it kind of lessens the appeal for me.
Throughout so much of this issue, I kept thinking about the Far From Home movie. It had to be because of how much of the plot was lifted from these early Mysterio appearances. I don't have that same sort of problem with Vulture, Green Gobl more
Meet our webhead's newest foe: Mysterio, the master of illusion!
Look, this issue is super silly. Green Goblin's plan doesn't make a ton of sense, B.J. Cosmos is a nutty character, and Green Goblin can't even count. It's ridiculous, and I'm not sure why it's *so* ridiculous. We're Stan and Steve trying to create Spider-Man's Joker and leaned into it too hard? I'm not sure. Whatever the reason, it doesn't really affect my opinion of the issue.

I surprisingly enjoyed living brain story but wtf was this second one ?
Living brain story: 7/10
Peter acting like dick and fights fantastic four: 2/10
Score should be 4.5 but I boost it to 5 because second story was at least short
Special Tribute to Teenagers Issue!
Part I-The Terrible Threat of the Living Brain
...and bonus attraction
Part II-Spider-Man Tackles The Torch!
This is another one of those early Spider-Man comics that I read very, very young. And honestly, I'm sure it held up better then. Before I knew anything about how computers work. This issue is such a silver age issue. It's advertised as a special "tribute-to-teen-agers" issue, and I think that's code for a tribute to Daredevil readers because this is super, super silly.
First, let's jus more
