Thedisplaced masses taking shelter in Chicago run for their lives when an unbelievable force descends on the city. Scattered and frantic, Barbara and Dick Grayson hunt for shelter and find a safe haven that hides a sinister secret. Will the two make it out alive with their son?
While I'm not completely happy with Earth 2 taking a back seat to Earth 2: World's End's stories, it has been kind of nice having smaller stories that you want to see more of featured in this monthly book. I've been waiting for Dick and Barbara Grayson to get a featured story and while this isn't exactly what I thought it would be, it was still entertaining as hell as it filled me with dread and suspense. It's a really dark story that makes you stop looking to the skies of Earth 2 at the raging parademons and makes you realize that the majority of the terror in this world is being dispensed by it's own people. I really hope we see more of this story because now I'm really compelled in what's going on outside of the super heroics. Read Full Review
So yeah, a disappointing issue the can be skipped without interfering the overall plot of Earth 2: World's End. It brings almost nothing to the table, and I didn't learn anything new either. Read Full Review
I am hoping that this issue was simply a filler. Read Full Review
This series began life as one of my favourites but over the course of 29 issues has gone the same way as New Avengers until it is simply filled with too many characters, doing too many things that I just don't care about. Individual ongoings would help to keep me invested despite paying extra money but as for now I am giving away this book, call me when it becomes relevant again. Read Full Review
Although focused on two fan-favorite characters, Earth 2's Barbara and Dick Grayson story falls completely flat. Read Full Review
Earth 2 is now essentially second fiddle to World's End. Like last month's issue's history of Apokolips' furies, we get a more intimate story regarding earth 2's Dick and Barbara Grayson. We finally get to see Dick punch someone and I have to say I was getting kind of annoyed with earth 2 Dick Grayson acting like a mama's boy when I keep thinking he's the badass Nightwing at least in a few earths of the multiverse. The story pretty much shows Babs kicking butt again and ends with her and Dick chasing down their son. We get an appearance from this world's Harley Quinn-like character and she's pretty boring compared to the one we've come to know and love as Mr. J's lover. Decent issue but if you want action, earth 2 style, World's End has youmore
No real point and Dick was drawn like he had Mister Fantastic powers.
