FINAL ISSUE! It's the last Batman standing versus Gotham's greatest threat! Who will ultimately win the war of the Batmen? And what will be left of the city when it's all said and done? It doesn't look good for anyone.
Oh boy, I'm really going to miss this series. What a rollercoaster we've been on, this has been all kinds of epic. The twists and turns have kept me on the edge of my seat and super entertained. The final issue was great and I'm really impressed with the direction everything went in, and couldn't be more grateful that I got to review this series. Thank you, Dennis Culver and everyone who worked on Future State: Gotham! Read Full Review
It's just an odd duck of a book, and it ends in a particularly weird way that doesn't quite fit the tone of the series until now. Read Full Review
Though Dennis Culver tries his best to wrap up too many plotlines in this issue, the end result is a rushed and unsatisfying concoction not saved by passable but by no means, particularly interesting art. Read Full Review
With Future State: Gotham #18, DC seems to have finally closed the book on the Future State setting that was at one point supposed to be the future of all DC Comics. It's tough to imagine a more disappointing way for that editorial effort to be remembered. The series' final arc is filled with characters whose decisions make no sense, stilted dialog meant only to deliver bad one-liners, inconsistent art at best, and an incoherent plot. This final issue can be entertaining to read if you just turn your brain off, but once you move past the absurdity of it all, all that's left is the ending to a bad story. Read Full Review
It's chaotic, it's weird, it's lazily put together, and I'm thankful it's over. Read Full Review
Well... this was a thing.
all this setup for this shitty end. Seriously its like hey we made a scary old version of Damian and they were like how do we ruin it and make him weaker than any other batman. My guy Damian is supposed to be back after defeating HELL he literally would be the strongest there even without joe chill. Nightwing didn't have any proper arc either just a plot at the end to be a sacrifice and the biggest mischaracterization; Damian would be a whole lot better then nightwing as Dick would make sure Damian is better than him. he literally was his robin first.
And no sorry but Jace has not done nearly enough to be the only batman, literally almost every other person in the bat family is still more qualified Then him. But obviously DC wan more
