As the series builds to a climax, we visit a parallel Earth where Lois Lane never died and where the friendship between Superman and Batman remains as strong as ever.
Brian Buccellato introduces us to the heroes that will eventually save the day and it's like having dj vu all over again. While their Earth seems like a grand old time compared to the one we've been dealing with, Buccellato shows us there is trouble in paradise which will have to be dealt with before anyone is saving anybody. Injustice is in a kind of weird state here where perhaps it makes a little more sense if you've been involved in the game and how the story gets underway there. Considering how many years ago it came out and that I had only a mild passing glance at it back then, I get the feeling that this will all connect into it because why do it otherwise. Those who are invested in the game and the book connection are likely just grinning with how it's coming together (and laughing at me for not knowing, whereas I enjoy the uncertainty and lack of foreknowledge!) and it definitely seems like it's ready to just throw down in a big way. Overall, I definitely liked this issue but it was a bit of a surprise in a lot of ways and it was just a great work of Xermanico's. Read Full Review
