The tables are turned on Constantine, who is about to feel Superman's wrath. Can anyone save him?
INJUSTICE: YEAR THREE #9 does a fine job reminding us of just how far Superman fallen and it's a nice contrast to the brief focus Taylor places on Billy Batson's sense of hope and optimism. It's a character-driven ride that gives us just the right dose of Constantine without allowing him to overshadow the other characters like he has in previous chapters. It's pretty much focused on the drastically different personalities and looks consistently solid, but then it drops a very neat twist; it's something that's more than likely enough to make readers stick around for the next chapter. I'm sure some of you will think a majority of this chapter is filler and I wouldn't argue with that point, but it's still handled well and absolutely kept me entertained. Read Full Review
Injustice once again plays with a lot of events going on and a smooth and quick approach to it all. Things change regularly here when it comes to feeling like who may have the upper hand, though Constantine always feels like the underdog, which is what he likes. This is mostly big and noisy and a lot of fun, but between all the magic and double-crossing the plot feels like it's starting to unravel. Nine issues into a 12-issue Year you would hope we might be seeing more payoff at this point, but things are just starting to heat up with more questions than answers and some threads already proving to go nowhere of major narrative consequence. With all the cards seemingly revealed at this point, I'm anxiously hoping for some big surprises here on out. Read Full Review
