A terrifying new horror series from the ghoulish minds of Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) and Glenn Fabry (PREACHER)!

So I would highly recommend Lot #13 for lots of reasons, for lots of people: if you're new to horror and want something frightening to read, or you're a seasoned horror fan and enjoy ghost stories. If you're interested in an art style that's unlike a lot of mainstream comics, and, most importantly, it's not about vampires (which is basically a zillion brownie points in my book).  Read Full Review

    Newsarama - Edward Kaye Nov 5, 2012

This time of year is a very busy period for horror comics, with the shelves overflowing with miniseries and one-shots looking to take advantage of the Halloween rush. Lot 13 #1 stands out from the pack though, more intent on delivering a solid foundation on which to build future issues than providing cheap and tawdry scares for thrillseekers. This series has some definite potential, and I look forward to seeing where Nile and Fabry take us next. Read Full Review

Flaws aside, though, “Lot 13″ has a lot of potential. It may take another issue to see whether this one is worth sticking with until the end, but as things stand, if you're looking for slow-burn, traditional horror story, this comic is worth a browse. Read Full Review

Behind The Panels - Richard Gray Nov 4, 2012

Creepy, intriguing and filled with beautiful art, Lot 13 may not have the most original premise, but it is another one to watch from a month of creepy debuts. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Kelly Thompson Nov 1, 2012

This is only the first issue and there are enough good things at work here that there's plenty of time for the creators to turn it around and make this a solid little series. However, I hope in future issues they can pay more attention to the little things that really make a book work, otherwise this mini will end up feeling a bit ill-conceived and sloppy. The concept and talent here deserves, and can deliver, more. Read Full Review

Fanboy Ramblings - Fanboy Ramblings Nov 1, 2012

Lot 13 starts out very creepy and disturbing. It felt like a horror version of The Crucible in the first few pages. The story as of right is lacking mostly because the book only really focused on the family and their move. There wasn't much about what is going to happen. It just a typical family move, with a few strange occurrences throw in. The art is decent but not mind-blowing. However, the character faces possess a lot realistic qualities. The only downfall is that the character models are not consistent, in the same panel one character can be very detailed and realistic all the while another comes off cartoony. This book is average to say the least, hopefully the next 3 issues can pull off some amazingly creepy horror elements. It's worth a read if you're a horror fan or just in the mood because it's Halloween. It may be worth it though to wait until issue 2 comes out and read them back to back for more story since this one is lacking. Read Full Review

___ $3, 22pgs; some ADs. ___ This issue is disturbing in the slow creepy sense until the end, when we get shock and gore thrown in our faces. A softer, slower build maybe but it serves just fine. The art is the star here, as Fabry brings all the texutres and details he is known for. i doubt anyone on the creative team will allow for any slacking off during this series. i have high expectations for this little monster of a series!
